MISERY LOVES COMPANY

Had a tough start at the Mountains of Misery.Me Jeff and Todd stayed together trading pulls till the last 4 miles .Then it was every man for himself! That last pull up to mountain lake is a B!*ch!We had a good time just riding and b'sn the first 100 miles.I finished in 8.29.My left knee is jacked otherwise I'm alright. Glad its over now I can get back to mountain biking!

DISCO #4

1st place nice.Felt horrible going into it.Hit legs in the gym Monday. Rode to hard at the Tuesday beer ride.I mean it hurt to walk much less pedal a bike!So I said screw it and a hour before I fueled up at McDonald's on a double quarter pounder a fry and washed it down with a hot fudge sundae and a large icedcoffee! And I still put a few minutes between me and the second place finisher! I also had help from my teamate Paula Schimizzi after passing her I tryed to drop anchor but she stayed on me and pushed me on up the last climb. So i droped the hammer on the last crawler to the finish done the lance lookback but all clear no chasers!It was a awesome final race Skip done a awesome job putting it on.

Last hard one

Good hard ride to smack the legs in shape at the Tuesday night beer ride.Meant to go easy but when me David and Jeff get together the rides gonna be a slugfest.legs feel good for the last disco race on mill mountain tommorow night.Then recover in time for Mountains of Misery Sunday my first road century.104 miles.

73 miles.5 hours.To the peaks from roanoke mountain and back.Cramped hard on the last climb.Last long ride till mountains of misery.First time I've ever " trained"for a race.Well see if it helped.I've put in around 180 miles this week.No ride tommorow maybe a short mountain bike ride Sunday.

Me and Crenshaw rode to the peaks this morning we met at the top of roanoke mountain overlook.Wow that last climb after riding 70miles was torture(*)5 and a half hours total ride time.Good ride.Longest ride of the year for me so far.
